Samura Combination Whetstone #240/#800 Grit
This is a sharpening stone with two sides, one with a grit of 240 and the other with a grit of 800. It is intended for rough re-angling of the blade using the 240 side prior to sharpening and intensive removal of metal with the 800.
This whetstone would be used as the first line of attack on a blade that has either become extremely dull, or has suffered damage to its edge.
