Professional Knife Sharpening | Norwich

Restore Your Edge.

Don’t throw away your dull knives...let us bring them back to life.

At Norvic, we understand that a sharp knife is the most enjoyable tool in the kitchen by far. Whether it’s your daily "workhorse" vegetable chopper or a high end Japanese steel knife, we offer a professional, hand-finished sharpening service right here in Norwich.

We use the same professional grade equipment used to finish our own blades, ensuring your knives return to you sharper than the day you bought them.

Our Services

We offer two tiers of sharpening to suit your needs. Not sure which one you need? We can advise you when you drop them off.

1. The Standard Service | £7.00 per knife

Best for: German steel (Wusthof, Henckels, Victorinox), daily beaters, and fibrous chopping. We use a Work Sharp Elite system to create a durable "convex" edge. This provides a toothy, robust sharpness that lasts a long time and is perfect for heavy kitchen prep.

  • Finish: Satin / Utility Polish.

  • Result: Better-than-factory sharpness.

2. The Norvic Premium | £13.00 per knife

Best for: Japanese steel (Global, Shun, Miyabi), high-carbon blades, and gifts. The ultimate spa day for your knife. We use a Tormek T8 Water-Cooled system to grind a precision edge without overheating the steel, followed by a Refinement and Buffing process culminating in a 1-micron diamond hand strop to achieve extreme sharpness. We also apply oil to wood where needed, and can remove rust spots.

  • Finish: Flawless Mirror Polish*.

  • Result: "Scary sharp" hair-popping edge that glides through food effortlessly.

Repairs: Broken tips and deep chips can be fixed from +£5.00 per knife.
