Terms of service

Our terms and conditions govern all transactions conducted on the Norvic Knives website and are outlined below. Please review these thoroughly before making a purchase.

  1. Our terms are subject to change without prior notice. Any alterations will be applicable to subsequent orders.
  2. The Ordering & Delivery section details delivery charges and estimated timescales. While we strive to adhere to these estimates, occasional delays may occur. Per the current United Kingdom legislation, our carriers may deliver your parcel to a neighbour or a designated safe location, specified during the order placement, unless age verification is required.
  3. Goods are subject to availability. If we cannot fulfil your order, we will promptly notify you, and a full refund will be issued for pre-paid goods.
  4. Order acceptance occurs upon delivery when placed online, by phone, by mail, or in person.
  5. We accept online payments through Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Apple Pay, American Express, and Paypal.
  6. We are committed to supplying goods in accordance with the contract upon checkout. If you have concerns, contact us at Sales@NorvicKnives.co.uk. If unresolved, you may escalate the matter under the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015.
  7. The contract is governed by English and Welsh laws, and disputes will be exclusively resolved in English and Welsh courts.
  8. Product specifications may change; we'll offer a substitute of equal or superior quality at the same price. Return the item within 30 days if dissatisfied.
  9. All Norvic Knives products have a minimum 12-month guarantee against manufacturing defects.
  10. Thirty Day Moneyback Guarantee: Return unused items in original packaging within 30 days for an exchange or full refund, subject to condition of returned items.
  11. Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 grant a 14-day cancellation right (excluding personalized, made-to-order, underwear, or face coverings). Return goods at your expense; we suggest using recorded delivery.
  12. Customer product reviews must adhere to guidelines; aggressive or combative references are not accepted.
  13. Customer service reviews via Trustpilot are optional; customers may opt out of Trustpilot correspondence.
  14. Parcel tracking information is sent via email/SMS; carriers use this for delivery updates.
  15. We validate information against third-party databases for security and age verification. First orders' billing and delivery addresses should match. Consent to checks is implied by accepting the terms.
  16. Electronic items shipped outside the UK may experience postal delays due to enhanced security screening.
  17. In the UK, bladed products can only be delivered to adults; age verification is done at order placement and delivery.
  18. Orders outside the UK may incur import charges, the responsibility of the consignee. Refunds for parcels returned due to non-payment of charges exclude incurred costs.

Under 18’s Policy:

We at Norvic Knives take the age verification process seriously. As keen cooking enthusiasts we are passionate about the items that we sell and about their appropriate and safe use. As such we do not sell bladed products to anybody under the age of 18 and reserve the right to cancel any order at our own discretion. At the checkout you will be asked to enter your personal details including name, address and contact details. This information is screened through Age Checked to confirm if you are over the age of 18. If you do not pass this process, you will be prompted to enter additional information such as credit card details or driving license number. We provide excellent knives for cooking professionals, however, knives can be dangerous if improperly handled. It is also important to know and comply with the law regarding the carrying and use of knives (Criminal Justice Act 1988 & Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 in England and Wales).

Basic Laws on Knives, it is illegal to:

  • Sell a knife of any kind to anyone under 18 years old unless it has a manual folding blade less than 3 inches long (16- to 18-year-olds in Scotland can buy cutlery and kitchen knives).
  • Carry a knife in public without good reason - unless it’s a knife with a folding blade 3 inches long (7.62 cm) or less, e.g. a Swiss Army knife.
  • Carry, buy, or sell any type of banned knife.
  • Use any knife in a threatening manner, even if it is a legal knife.
