What a weekend. When we packed up the workshop and headed down to the Norwich Camping and Leisure Big BBQ Weekend, we knew we were in for a great couple of days of fire, food, and steel. But we completely underestimated just how passionate the Norfolk BBQ community is about proper cutting tools.
To everyone who stopped by the Norvic Knives gazebo, handed over a blunt blade, or walked away with fresh steel...thank you. Here is a look back at an incredible weekend.
The Pitmaster BBQ Range: A Total Sell-Out
We brought our heaviest hitters to the event, specifically designed for board work and breaking down large cuts of meat. The response was unbelievable.
By the middle of the weekend, we officially completely sold out of our Navajo Serbian Chef’s Knives. It turns out, when you let people feel the balance and weight of a proper hand-finished blade in person, it doesn't stay on the display table for long. Our Comanche model also sold by the boatload, finding new homes with serious pitmasters who were tired of struggling through brisket with flimsy knives.

If you missed out on the Navajo, don't worry. We are already back at the grinders. You can check the current stock and explore the rest of our heavy-duty blades on our Norvic Pitmaster BBQ Range – Norvic Knives.
Sparks Flying: The 1 Free Sharpen Offer
Our primary goal for the Norwich Camping and Leisure BBQ event wasn't just to sell knives; it was to educate people on what a truly sharp edge feels like.

We ran a "1 Free Knife Sharpen" introductory offer, and you definitely took us up on it! We spent hours at the work sharp ken onion grinder, stripping away chips and taking dull, neglected kitchen beaters back to a razor-sharp, 1-micron edge. Watching people’s faces light up when they felt the newly restored bite on their favourite old knife was easily a highlight of the weekend.

If you have a block full of blunt knives at home that need the same treatment, you don't have to wait for the next event. Check out our Professional Knife Sharpening to get your blades dialled with our local drop-off service.
Kerbside Kitchen and Local Legends
You can't spend two days surrounded by the smell of charcoal without getting hungry. We have to give a massive shoutout to the legends over at Kerbside Kitchen.
In true local business fashion, we set up a trade: we restored one of their damaged knives to a razor edge, and in return, they kept us fuelled with some of the best BBQ food we've had all year, check them out if you want the best smash burger in Norfolk. Even better, they ended up picking up some Norvic knives of their own over the weekend. We cannot wait to see what incredible food content they shoot using our steel in the coming weeks...go give them a follow! kerbsidekitchenuk

Looking Ahead
A huge thank you to the team at Norwich Camping & Leisure for hosting such a brilliantly organized weekend. It is fantastic to have a local hub that supports outdoor cooking and local makers so enthusiastically. If you want the widest selection of top tier BBQ's to browse, take a look at the showroom these guys have created.

We are already looking forward to the next one. Until then, keep your fires hot and your edges sharp.
